I’ve been longing to post this engagement session I had last month. These two lovely couple was all excited about the shoot… They decided to have their engagement session in two locations. We headed first to Marjorie’s Garden at Sta. Rita, Samar and proceeded to Raphael Farms. On our way to Raphael Farms, we asked permission from the Police who was manning the Samar side check-point of San Juanico Bridge if we can stop by the bridge and have some photos taken… and everything went smoothly.

Vincent introduced me to Nicelle on the time were about to leave for Marjorie’s Garden. Nicelle just arrived from the U.S. two days before our engagement shoot and they immediately worked on their civil wedding that happened on the morning of our shoot. Vincent and Nicelle were just so comfortable with each other… I had a blast capturing their moments together as both of them were just enjoying the entire shoot.

Here are a few favorites…

I love the facade of the coffee shop at Marjorie’s Garden… It’s like your in the Caribbean… As if I’ve been there… :) Probably that’s what you get for too much TiVo.

Forget the bridge… Just focus on the two… nakakakilig! :)

They’re both game…

We need to wait for the bridge to be free from any moving objects before we can have this shot… :)

Anyways, I’m posting again another wedding shoot we’ve done last July… The wedding ceremony was held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish were Fr. Elmo was the main celebrant. My team was excited in their wedding as it was our first time to shoot at Le Jardin were the reception was held. Le Jardin is the newest event venue in Tacloban. It was carefully planned by the owners to be the best garden reception hall in the City. It is located at Brgy. Apitong, Tacloban City just a stone throw away from Angelicum School. Jessie and Cecile was both having fun during their wedding. Both of them grew up in Dulag, Leyte but Jessie is now based in the Middle East.

Here are some of the photos I took of Jessie and Cecile. To check out more photos of their wedding feel free to visit the client section of my website. However, the gallery though is password protected and only the family, relatives and friends of the couple can access it. The password of their gallery is Cecile’s family name (all in small caps). Sorry no clues here… :) Read the rest of this entry »

Adam and Alwyn are both based in the United States. Adam is a freelance graphic artist while Alwyn is working in a private company. You can check out Adam’s website for those who need motion graphic requirements. Nelson and I got blown away by the great work of Adam when we saw his website…

Anyhow, the wedding took place at Baybay, Leyte were Alwyn grew up. It was our first time to have a wedding shoot in Baybay so we have to be there a bit early than our regular call time so we can check out the church as well as the reception hall. Read the rest of this entry »

under the MOONlight

March 5, 2007

img_7144web.jpg

I took this shot last Sunday after my engagement session with Patrick and Myra who’ll be getting married this coming March 10… Patrick is staying at MacArthur Resort since he arrived in town. So after our shoot at the Magsaysay Blvd. area I decided to just drive them back to the resort. As I was leaving the resort I saw this awesome moon behind Mang Douglas and Company. So I told Paulie that I have to take a shot as I haven’t seen MacArthur Park under moonlight. I just thought of sharing this photo as most of the photos taken at the park are daytime shots. I made some post production as I wanted to emphasize the bronze material used on the statue. This was my 3rd and last long exposure shot as I have to pop the flash 8 times to the right side of Mang Douglas just to even the light. Hope you’ll like it.

I’ll try to post Patrick and Myra’s engagement session tomorrow.

apoconcert005.jpg

The very famous, original, oldest (??), versatile, fun, talented APO Hiking Society was in town last night for a show. As usual Jim, Boboy and Danny was all great to watch… Actually I haven’t really watched it as a regular audience co’z I was all the time busy with my camera. Anyways, Cristina Ausa of Zaibatsu Production met me last Tuesday and asking if I can be the official photographer of the concert. At first I was a bit hesitant since I told me wife few weeks ago that we will watch the concert together. Well to make the story short, I became the official photographer of the event and tagging along are my staff in the office as well as my wife and my mom (men, I can’t remember when was the last time my mother watched a concert). Rodel & Tessa

January 17, 2007

It took me a while to post the wedding of Rodel & Tessa who got married last January 13 because again of my erratic internet connection. What used to be a 30mins uploading took more than 6 hours to upload the on-site presentation of their wedding to my web server. I got impatient with the speed that I called up globelines to ask for any development on my internet connection and it was a sigh of relief when they told me that their Taiwan technical team will fully restore globelines internet service before the week ends. I never imagined that I was able to wait for almost a month just to have a decent internet connection… I was even planning in going to internet cafe’s just so I can upload Rodel & Tessa’s on-site presentation. Simbang Gabi

December 22, 2006

Simbang Gabi is one of the longest and most popular traditions not only to the Waray-Waray’s but to all Filipinos as well. It is when Catholic churches start to open their doors before the break of dawn to welcome the community to the Simbang Gabi mass.

I remember during our younger years when our parents would wake us up very early in the morning and go to our community church at St. Jude Parish to attend the nine-day novena. This became a tradition in our family starting December 16 and culminates with the “Misa de Gallo” on Christmas Eve to welcome the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ. Shortly after the Simbang Gabi, we would go home right away and my mom will prepare champorado and bulad for our breakfast. It was always our breakfast for nine days. St. Jude Parish was just a small parish then with parishioners mostly coming from PHHC residents only. Now with the development of several subdivisions near PHHC it seems that the church is quite small during Simbang Gabi. Read the rest of this entry »

Vic & Arvie

December 20, 2006

Vic and Arvie will be getting married this 30th of December. It’s obviously my last wedding shoot for the year and I’m really looking forward to it. Vic and Arvie wanted to have a signature album for their wedding guests instead of the traditional guest album or signature frame. We decided to shoot for the signature album last December 9 but it was also the day when typhoon Seniang hit Tacloban City so we have to postpone and re-schedule the shoot. We were trying our luck on the following day (December 10) but still the weather was not cooperating so we decided to move again the shoot. Read the rest of this entry »
